Have you done any organic farming before? What kind of organic farming skills do you have?
I have limited experience with organic farming. In 2012, I worked for a nonprofit in Tanzania which promoted the local uptake of bio-intensive agricultural practices (primarily focusing on resource conservation) and learned how to build several types of gardens that minimize water usage. For the last three years, I have managed programs in East Africa that train smallholder coffee farmers on climate-smart best practices, working to connect them to global markets via corporate coffee roasting companies. I also volunteer for a handful of urban farms in the Washington, DC area.
