During my senior year of high school I was involved in a sustainable living and environmental education program where I learned about organic farming. I have some gardening and farming experience, but mostly am interested in developing more skills through volunteer work and traveling.
I havent WWOOF'ed in a few years and just started to get the travel itch again. I am headed to Argentina for steak in september and then traveling for the next two or three months maybe to Peru and Chile. Columbia and Venezuela have been poppin up in my head recently too. anyways, I have never met another Knorr and I thought it was hilarious that another Knorr lives sooo close to me (im in Tahoe Vista, north Lake Tahoe). Let me know if you wanna get together some time and play, or travel!
Hey there, from what I can gather, it sounds like you've already traveled around quite a bit. I'm flying into Quito on the 12th and headed north to cahuasqui (northwest of Ibarra) for a little while. I just wanted to see if you have any wonderful advice or ideas. ?
Still coming??? its all pretty good here. we partied on a roof top through the coup. machine gun fire and all.

Hey anna, i hope you don't need a visa cause i don't have one, and i'm leaving the 28th. I was told you don't need one unless youre staying in ecuador for more than 3 months. How are your plans going? found any farms? Also how do i know what my wwoof number is?
Hey Anna, I will be leaving at the end of Sept. I have actually been talking with the owner of a farm called Monoloco. I think this will be my first stop. The owner seems extremely nice, and they are doing some natural building projects, whi8ch i am very interested in. I have gotten a lot of replies from other farms which i have to sort through. When are you leaving? Have you had any luck with farms?
Howdy Anna,
Oh that's so lovely that you are getting ready to WWOOF. Actually, I am leaving for Ecuador in a week but I won't be WWOOFing until the end of December. I will be studying abroad in Guyaquil. So you will actually be getting your hands in the dirt before me! It's great that you are trying to get others' opinions though, good idea. I haven't been very actively looking into farms yet.
How long are you thinking of staying in Ecuador?
Happy adventures!
