Profile Information

What is your experience in Organic Farming?: I grew up helping my parents with our family garden and have always had a great appreciation for organic and real foods. I am close to completing my second semester of a permaculture design class. I have worked many hours out at our permaculture project/ organic farm through our university and love playing in dirt but still lack many skills of knowing how to really help things grow. I will hopefully be working part time at this farm this summer (2010) and put some more sweat into the growing process. I have much to learn but am so excited to play in the dirt some more.

New wwoofer excited about volunteering in Ecuador!

Yippee! I will be leaving for Ecuador August 24th. I will be studying there in Guyaquil for about 5 months until December 24th then I have until January 20th to do whatever! I have been really wanting to work on an organic farm in another country for quite a while. I will be researching the diverse lands of Ecuador more as well as looking into farms but I would also appreciate any suggestions that anyone has!

I'm planning on going to Ecuador for a little over a month (Oct-nov), and then maybe to Peru to visit someone I know there.
