- What is your experience in Organic Farming?
- I have never Organic farmed before - however, I take a great interest in consuming and promoting the consumption of organic foods.
I am currently employed as a tour guide in the first Organic (and Fair Trade) chocolate factory in the US, Theo Chocolate. I truly love opening peoples' eyes to the impact that their favorite dessert can have on the land, on people who grow cacao, on their own health - on so many things they may have never thought of before! While I talk about cacao and cacao farming every single day, I have never had the opportunity to see cacao in the wild, which has always been a dream of mine.
I would absolutely love to get first hand experience working on an organic cacao farm. I'm also very interested in learning how organic sugar, bananas, and spices like vanilla are grown, as I do a lot of advocacy and education with consumers around these commodities.
