Pomarrosa Organic Farm is situated to the South of the town of Puerto López in the county ofManabí, inside the community of Salango.
Pomarrosa is a community family organic farm that practices an agriculture that respects nature,dedicated to eco tourism, agroturismo and environmental education,where we cultivate organic cocoa, coffee, fruit and vegetables. We haveour own ecological vegetable and fruit gardens for the consumption ofthe farm and the people that visit. You will learn the value oforganically grown fruit and vegetables and its interrelations for thebalance and the subsistence of the planet, with our help you canparticipate passing pleasant moments of rest and work.
A day in Pomarrosa Organic Farm, is day of unforgettable learning in a natural magical greenenvironment to inspire sustainability and well being. It is an optiondifferent from your normal life where you have the opportunity to haveintimate contact with nature. For those that decide to spend more timewith us we have a three floored terraced lodge built in wood, bambooand stone room for 16 people in the house and lots of space forcamping. A large kitchen and terraced dinning area with open view ofthe rain forest, games, movies, pool table, gardens, ecologicalbathrooms, hot shower and all that nature provides.
To stay in Pomarrosa Organic Farm is a period of continuous learning. One day you can besowing a tree, the following day you will be learning theory on theenvironmental education, picking oranges, learning about and makingcrafts, restoring the farm, giving English classes to the children inthe local school, working in the community, country activities withhigh pedagogic and interactive level, interpretive walks in the forestwith talks of BIGFOOT and magic accompanied by a community local guide,resting, having fun at the beach or simply learning the ancestralculture of the people that inhabited the area for thousands of years inthe museum of Salango.
